About the festival...

Royston Arts Festival is a four day Arts Festival celebrating the town's finest artists, writers, musicians and actors. It is run by the people of Royston, Hertfordshire (UK) over a single weekend in September.

In 2009 the festival included more than 60 events featuring art, craft, music, dance, drama and a whole lot more. We were especially pleased to welcome back to his home town Robin Belfield, the National Theatre Staff Director, who joined us for a drama workshop and question and answer session. To find out more about what went on click here for a full programme.

About the book...

Royston Through the Eyes of a Child (Cover)We're also very proud of our publishing venture, Royston Through the Eyes of a Child. This is a book compiled from contributions by children from the town's first schools, expressing in their own words, what they most love about the town. The book received its official launch at the Festival and was on sale throughout the weekend, but can still be purchased locally or by downloading the PDF order form here and mailing it, with a cheque for £3.50 (to include postage & packaging) to the Festival organisers at 33 Honey Way, Royston, Hertfordshire SG8 7ES.
